Love is all you need.  Love makes the world go round. Love conquers all.  Love is the answer.  Love never fails.

These statements might seem cheesy, corny, ridiculous, exaggerated or even impossible to some.  But at our very core, love is what we are.  It is our unifying mission and a powerful one at that. Unconditional love is the highest vibrational frequency.  Yet, how is it that love can become something many search for, long for, fear or even distrust?  Love requires us to be open, vulnerable, trusting, curious, compassionate, etc. When we have experienced forms of hurt, untruth, or distorted perception and accepted it that begins to create barriers that can turn into road blocks if left unaddressed. So, how do we see ourselves and each other as this love instead of seeking reasons for people to be different, scary, uncomfortable, less than or other negative things?

For today let’s start by returning to and recognizing our own innate loving nature and what that feels like. Can you name some things you love about yourself? Can you name some people or things you love?  What does it feel like when you see someone or something you love?  What does it feel like when you love what you are doing?

Sharing and experiencing love frees our energy in ways that nothing else can. What a positive state to be in and no wonder our brains are wired to want more of the neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, and oxytocin that are produced with these feelings.  We can support these processes naturally with “superfoods” like cacao that are naturally high in nutrients that support the production of these and other feel good chemicals. We can also do this naturally by focusing our attention on what we love, doing things we love, caring for those we love and supporting causes we love.  If you would like to explore this a little further, take a look at these articles https://hms.harvard.edu/news/science-love

It seems there would be a natural conclusion that engaging in loving, altruistic, joyful acts could replace every negative addiction and emotion out there and bring us all to more joyful and positive states of wellbeing.  So, I encourage you to lean into love in the days, weeks and months ahead and see what starts to shift in your life.
